Dr. Kimberly Brown is the Lead Chiropractic Attending at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Cincinnati, Master’s degree in molecular biology at SUNY Geneseo and graduate work toward a Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She worked for 12 years performing research in academic medicine and in industrial microarray genetic technology. In 2003 she received her doctorate in chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College as valedictorian and received a year long ACC Research Scholar appointment. 

Since graduation, Dr. Brown has been practicing and performing electrodiagnostic studies for SUNY Upstate Medical University’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Outpatient Orthopedic Departments. Dr. Brown also owns CNY Electrodiagnostics and Chiropractic Consultants of Central New York, a company that provides chiropractic services to multi-disciplinary spine care facilities. Prior to her VA appointment, Dr. Brown practiced in and co-owned Harrison Center Chiropractic, PLLC in Syracuse, NY providing chiropractic services within SUNY Upstate Medical University’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Departments.

Her teaching experience includes earning a Teaching Assistantship at SUNY Geneseo. Dr. Brown has held an adjunct assistant professor position at Onondaga Community College in basic sciences. She also was an adjunct assistant professor for New York Chiropractic College’s Chiropractic Program in basic sciences and the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in basic and western clinical sciences for 7 years. Her post graduate teaching experience includes a 10 year appointment as an instructor for the Neurodiagnostic Institute in the 150 hour Post Graduate Electrodiagnostic Certification Program. Currently Dr. Brown is an assistant clinical adjunct faculty member for D’Youville College offering VA rotation internships for qualified students.
